Award for Glenn (Scatters) Scarborough Glenn Scarborough
was named the joint winner of the 'media personality award' at the VAFA's 2007 season launch. The award
recognised Glenn's efforts in promoting the VAFA, particularly in the North
West region via 98.9 North West FM. A highlight for
the season was the joint call of the A Section Grand Final in conjunction
with 96.5 Inner FM and 88.3 Southern FM radio. It was back to
back awards for the newly appointed St
Bernard’s General Manager ... well done to Scatters! 2006
Award for Glenn (Scatters) Scarborough This show just
grows in popularity! At the Victorian Amateur Football Association’s 2006
season launch on April 19, 2006, which was attended by over 500 hundred
people representing the 70 clubs that field almost 5000 players in 110 games
of football each weekend, Glenn was awarded the Media Personality of The Year
for 2005 - a great thrill given the size of the Association, and the number
of radio and press involved. Previous winners
include journalists from the Herald-Sun and The Age, and also various other
community radio personalities. The show is obviously well known throughout the competition and this year we have had another club come on board as regulars and also requests from another two to join in. Other
sports programs on North West FM Sports Of All Sorts:
Saturdays 7 am - 10.30 am (All year). EDFL Match of the Day: Live radio
broadcast on Saturdays 2 pm - 5 pm (April - September) The North West Cricket
Report (VTCA): Sundays 6 pm - 9 pm (October - March)
