An update from our esteemed Vice President and pillar of the Maltese Community, Emmanuel Brincat.
We kicked off 2026 in style at St Helena Maltese Australian Social Club & Seniors Group, hosting Josual Grech as Elvis in January. Then on Saturday night we celebrated our St Valentine’s Day Social on the actual internationally celebrated day, 14 February.
Here in Melbourne, the Maltese Community was certainly spoilt for choice, with several events taking place across the western suburbs — including the Festa of St Sebastian Association and three other associations holding social nights. It was wonderful to see such strong community spirit.
As always, the St Helena M.A.S.C. & S.G. social was a great success. A big thank you to President Victor Bartolo and his hardworking committee, who dedicated much of their Saturday afternoon to beautifully decorating the Polish Hall in Ardeer.

A special highlight of the evening was the new addition on stage – St Helena in her glory, illuminated in stunning neon light, specially made and imported for the club. It certainly added something special to the atmosphere!

Music for the night was provided by DJ King Charlie – and did he keep us on the dance floor! His fantastic mix ensured everyone enjoyed themselves from start to finish.
Viva l-Klabb ta’ Santa Liena ta’ Melbourne.
Enjoy photos from the event!
